June 12-16 and August 28-September 1 | LEGO Robotics: Design & Build (Ages 7-12)
Become a Robotics Engineer. Older participants, ages 9-12* will use the LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3, an advanced programable mini-computer brick, motor and sensor system, to create and design robots from your wildest imagination. Younger participants, ages 7-9 will use the LEGO WeDo and WeDo 2.0. You will design your own interactive machines, and then program them using LEGO WeDo drag-and-drop software and MIT Media Lab Scratch software.
June 19-23 | LEGO Robotics: Design, Build & Program II (Ages 7-12)
Our second Lego Robotics camp can be taken individually or as a follow-up to the first camp. This session will focus more on programming, finding creative solutions to given challenges, and collaboration.
June 26-30 and July 24-28 | Welcome to Hogwarts (Ages 8-12)
Travel to the magical school of Hogwarts where you will be sorted into houses, make magical wands, and use science to make magic real.
July 10-14 and July 31-August 4| Back to Hogwarts (Ages 8-12)
Incorporates chemistry, physics, biology and engineering to create all new potions, projects, and challenges. During this camp you might meet your Patronus, design color-changing potions, learn about magical plants, or turn liquids to dust.
July 17-21 | Finding Fantastic Beasts (Ages 8-12)
Based on the Harry Potter prequel, we will be transported back to a world of flying, glowing magical creatures where Magizoology is a required subject.
Aug 7-11 | Camp Half-Blood (Ages 8-12)
Based on the Percy Jackson & The Olympians series, get ready to step into your favorite book and experience the science behind Greek mythology.
Aug 14-18 | Surviving a Zombie Apocalypse / So…you’re a Zombie Now
Choose-your-own adventure using your creativity, math and science skills to find the best way to survive a zombie epidemic. Learn about the brain, and perform a dissection, to understand how zombies think and move.
Aug 21-25 | Finding Fantastic Beasts (Ages 8-12)
Based on the Harry Potter prequel, we will be transported back to a world of flying, glowing magical creatures where Magizoology is a required subject. Using real chemistry and biology we might make shiny objects for your Niffler, learn the elements of the Erumpet’s glowing horn, re-create the Occamy’s silvery eggs, develop a Murtlap remedy, experiment with Graphorn skin, and discover the physics of flight with Billywigs.
